Known as the "Crookedest River in the World" the Kickapoo river is a "must-do" for any canoeist or outdoor enthusiast!  Winding through Wisconsin dairy farmland, the shallow & casual-paced river takes you past beautiful rock cliffs and sandbars perfect for a family picnic!  Several canoe outfitters are available in the town of Ontario, just a 25 minute drive from Sparta.  Plan on an all-day trip--and plan to get wet and dirty if you decide to canoe the Kickapoo!  Great fun, don't miss out!
Tip:  Bring water shoes, a cooler full of your favorite beverages, snacks, and towels & clothes to dry off at the end of your journey.
